Solve problems involving buying or selling

a) Jonas bought a shirt for N$ 50,00. He used N$ 200,00 to pay, calculate the change he got back?

=N$ 200.00- N$ 50,00= N$ 150,00 (change)

b) Lisa was offered a discount of 15% for the red dress she want to buy that cost N$300,00

i) calculate the discount=15/100 x N$ 300,00=N$ 45,00

ii) the total amount she paid=N$ 300,00- N$ 45,00=N$ 255,00
